ProMexico (Click here for its website) is the Mexican Government agency in charge of strengthening Mexico’s participation in international economy. ProMexico facilitates exports from Mexico and strives to attract foreign direct investment to Mexico. It was established in June 2007 through a Presidential Decree, as a sectoral public trust under the Ministry of Economy, and operates through a network of 52 offices throughout Mexico and more than 30 offices in 21 countries.

Its principal objective is to bring and maintain steady economic growth in Mexico with the help of resource mobilization and efficient asset management. This ministry also has the responsibility to manage the public debt.

Banco de México (Click here for its website) is the central bank of Mexico. Under the Constitution, it is autonomous in its operations and management. Its main function is to provide and ensure a stable currency to the domestic economy. Its other functions are to promote both the sound development of the financial system and the optimal functioning of the payment systems.
