A high-level delegation from the Indian state of Karnataka, led by Mr.R.V. Deshpande, Minister for Large & Medium Industries & Tourism, and comprising the Chief Secretary Mr.Kaushik Mukherjee and other senior officials, visited Mexico from 16-19 August 2015 to promote Karnataka and its state capital Bangalore (Bengaluru) as an investment destination. On 17 August 2015, the Embassy of India in Mexico organised a Road Show with the help of COMCE  (Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology) at the Club de Industriales, at which the Indian delegation made presentations and interacted with Mexican companies and entrepreneurs. Today, cumulative Indian investment in Mexico stands at about US $1 billion, and Mexican investments in India, though of a much lesser order, are also growing. Mexican companies like Cinepolis, Kidzania, Tremec, Nemak, Mexichem, Ruhrpumpen, Softec, Metalsa and Great Food & Beverages are examples which have fared well in India, the world's fastest growing economy in emerging markets. IT, Automotive, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, Solar & Wind Energy, Agriculture & Food Processing are areas of interest to Mexican companies.
